Fire Your Monkey Mind! by Dana Pharant

Dana-Pharant-2One of the biggest challenges in running your own business is learning how to shut off your mind and take a break from the business. For many years this was definitely a huge issue for me. I used to lie awake for almost the whole night before a trade show because I could not get my brain to stop thinking about all the things that I should have done, all the things that I could have done and all the things I need to do before the show opened.

This of course took its toll on me since the next day I would start off tired and then have to stand on my feet for up to 10 hours and look lively and engage people so they would purchase. As you can imagine, by the end of a trade show I was exhausted, mentally, physically and emotionally. It would take me up to a week before I was feeling like myself again after one of these shows. All of that from the Monkey Mind that ran rampant in my brain. I knew I needed to fire the darn monkey, but how? I went to resorted to wine. They all worked for me but they were all short lived results. I need to fire the Monkey not just make it sit quit for an hour or two. I keep digging and then I came across this amazing set of tools called Access Consciousness(tm). For the first time I experienced freedom from the Monkey Mind. Then things like Meditation and Yoga were easier to get into and get even more out of.

I am going to give you the top two tools from Access Consciousness(tm) that allowed me to really fire that darn monkey for good, but first let me tell you a little about Access and why it is so different. The moto of Access is “Empowering people to know what they know.” It is not about giving you any answers, systems or “the right way” to do or be. It is all about teaching you how to access what you know to be true for you and get to find what works for you in your life. The other big difference with Access is that it is tools to get you out of judgment and choosing to function from consciousness. There are not a whole lot of people out there really functioning from no judgment. Even many of the “enlightened” people out there are living from judgment of themselves or others. When you see something as right or wrong you are in judgment, and when you get that there is no such thing as right or wrong only choices your whole world changes.

The Monkey Mind’s main job is to keep you in judgment. What if you start to challenge that Monkey Mind? What if you stopped believing that there is anything right or wrong? What hold would your Monkey Mind have then? In Access there is an amazing hands on body technique called The Bars. Crazy name for a technique that can unlock the molecular storage of your limiting thoughts, beliefs and judgments. After I had 10 sessions done on me my Monkey Mind was permanently fired.
